Customers

The core purpose of Jasper is to store customer details. Each customer record has fields where you can record information.

Customers can have many notes, reminders, tags and attached files associated with them.

Name fields

  • First name
  • Middle name
  • Last name
  • Preferred name: Name that the customer/contact wishes to be used in communications
  • Title: Title to address the customer (eg. Mrs, Ms, Mr, Mx)
  • Pronouns: The pronouns used by the customer/contact

Contact fields

  • Phone: Primary contact number of customer
  • Extension: Extension of phone number if necessary
  • Mobile: Mobile number contact
  • Email: Primary contact email
  • Additional contact details: Any extra information to note when contacting. This could include:
    • out of hours contact details
    • specific notes about how or when a customer should be contacted
  • Company: The company this customer/contact is associated with
  • Department: The department of the customer/contact

Location fields

  • Address 1
  • Address 2
  • Address 3
  • City
  • State
  • Postcode
  • Country

Extra fields

  • Scratchpad: Any extra uncategorized and undated information related to the customer/contact (see customer notes feature for dated information).

Searching

You can search for any customers with matching fields or tags in the customer list.

Grouping

Tags provide an easy way to group customers into categories. Read the tags guide to set them up.

Disabling fields

If you don't need some of the available fields, they can be disabled by pressing the "Customize fields" icon at the top right.

Note: When you disable a field, it is disabled for all customers.

Disabled fields are not deleted from your database, they just aren't shown. They can be re-enabled using the same button.
